Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with developers, architects, and engineers to design, develop, and maintain Kafka-based solutions for microservices environments.
- Integrates Kafka and Kafka Streams into a Kubernetes-hosted environment in Azure, ensuring seamless communication and data flow between microservices.
- Use your strong Java and Spring Boot skills to develop clean, efficient, and scalable Kafka integration code.
- Implement and maintain good code quality practices using technologies such as Sonar for code analysis and optimization.
- Work with DevOps team to implement CI/CD pipeline using GitLab CI for build, testing, and deployment.
- Ensure the security and integrity of your Kafka infrastructure by implementing authentication, authorization, and auditing mechanisms.
- Work with data engineers to design and implement data ingestion and processing solutions using Kafka Connect and other relevant tools.
- Stay up to date on the latest developments in Kafka and proactively identify opportunities to improve our application.
- Technical articles, guidelines, and best practices on Kafka integration and development.
- Become a member of Mobile L3 Support (good week for monthly search efforts).
Qualifications and Skills
Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Skills:
- Strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot development, with a proven track record of building large-scale and functional applications.
- Familiarity with distributed systems and microservices architectures.
- Experience with quality assurance tools like Sonar for code analysis, optimization, and compliance with code standards.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies, particularly Kubernetes.
- Cloud knowledge, preferably Microsoft Azure.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, ability to learn quickly and use new technologies.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
