Key Responsibilities:
- Develop machine designs in line with engineering design standards, company norms, and global standards to ensure product compliance.
- Conduct hand calculations for the structural system and sub-level components to validate design integrity.
- Display a strong grasp of advanced design and analytical concepts, coupled with creativity to address complex engineering challenges.
- Create 3D models and generate drawings using GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing). Proficiency in part and assembly modeling is essential.
- Collaborate within a project team to support the product’s design, build, and delivery, with a keen focus on safety, quality, on-time delivery, and cost efficiency.
- Participate in design reviews within the team to ensure that designs align with customer specifications and requirements.
Qualifications and Skills
Qualification: Engineering or a related field.
Skills:
- Understanding of mining machinery, the engineering difficulties they present, and how they are made.
- Hands-on experience with structural analysis using finite element analysis software, preferably CREO Simulate.
- Basic ability to read engineering drawings and grasp GD&T concepts.
- Proficiency in using CREO and Team CENTER Engineering software.
