Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain data engineering pipelines for processing extensive structured and unstructured financial/non-financial data.
- Explore diverse cloud and AWS tools, including Microservices, Big Data, and Batch Services, for constructing scalable data pipelines.
- Utilize Python and SQL for programming tasks, addressing various requests within the data pipeline framework.
- Develop and maintain data marts (SQL/NoSQL) for diverse dashboarding needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build comprehensive Data Dictionaries.
- Communicate effectively with data and technical teams to understand requirements and integrate diverse data types.
Qualifications and Skills
Qualification: BS degree in engineering, computer science, statistics, mathematics or equivalent practical experience
Skills:
- Proficient in Python with hands-on experience in Pandas/Numpy and a strong grasp of OOPS principles.
- Solid understanding of SQL/NoSQL databases, with a preference for hands-on experience.
- Preferred knowledge of the Hadoop stack, including SQOOP, HDFS, Hive, and Spark.
- Familiarity with the AWS ecosystem, including Lambda, EC2, RDS, EMR, Athena, and Glue.
- Experience in UNIX/Linux, including basic commands and shell scripting.
- Bonus points for familiarity with mutual fund, fixed income, and equity data.
- Fluent in both oral and written English.
