Job Role: Systems Engineer I

Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor Catchpoints node infrastructure and troubleshoot Linux servers in various external data centers and cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.)
- Perform operating system/application upgrades and server migrations to the new environment.
- Accept and log events from the support team.
- Classifies events based on specific options/categories.
- Make a first attempt to resolve customer incidents and/or escalate to the next level based on SLAs.
- Tracks the progress of the incident report throughout its lifecycle (start to finish, logging to close) to ensure the issue is resolved within the agreed SLA and updates reports. (Note: Responsible for creating the solution, but not necessarily the solution itself.)
- If thresholds are exceeded, escalate the issue to the next level or appropriate line.
- Drive the operational aspects of incident management and ensure time, quality and customer satisfaction SLAs are met across our global infrastructure.
- Directly manages the workload and priorities of the operations team’s triage functions to quickly assess business impacts and quickly identify recovery plans.
- Collaborate with customers and management through written and verbal communication and provide status updates should a major incident impact operations or revenue.
- Ability to quickly understand the requirements of new tools/processes and manage their implementation to further increase efficiency and service quality.
- Work closely with other groups and leaders to define and share best support practices.
- Demonstrated strategic thinking, quantitative and analytical skills, teamwork and collaboration.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills required; special focus on customer/client interaction a must.
Qualifications and Skills
Qualification: BE/BTech/MCA Computer Science & Networking
Skills:
- Working knowledge of remote access troubleshooting
- Excellent communication skills (active listening)
- Able to articulate and speak with clear voice
- Diplomatic and must have interpersonal skills
- Able to understand the business’s objectives
- Able to understand and accept that the Customer’s issues affect the business and that without the Customer there is no support department, and that the Customer is an expert in their own field
- Must have empathy with end users
- Professional code of conduct
- Must have a good understanding of the organization
- Must have basic technical knowledge of all technology used for the business processes.
- Good writing and telephone speaking skills (English).
