Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all Release Engineering activities, ensuring smooth execution throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Define, refine, and optimize existing build and deployment processes to enhance efficiency and reliability.
- Collaborate with Development teams to facilitate the delivery of various types of releases, including major, minor, and patch releases.
- Investigate and resolve build, deployment, and test issues promptly to minimize disruptions to development and release cycles.
- Develop and maintain tools and resources aimed at streamlining release processes and improving automation.
- Coordinate with Development and QA teams to transition responsibility for ongoing maintenance and support of released software.
- Conduct root cause analysis for post-production defects, applying fixes as necessary to maintain a defect-free production environment.
- Plan and implement support projects of small to medium size, ensuring the stability and reliability of production systems.
- Provide comprehensive support, identifying and documenting all issues and solutions encountered during production.
- Manage production systems, optimizing performance, and providing solutions to any encountered problems, while also preparing reports to track and communicate issues effectively.
Qualifications and Skills
Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering or equivalent
Skills:
- Proficient in source control systems like Subversion, GIT, or similar.
- Comfortable working with Windows and UNIX operating systems.
- Experienced with Continuous Integration tools like Jenkins.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Knowledgeable about the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Skilled in at least one core programming language (e.g., .NET, Java) and one scripting language (e.g., PowerShell, shell script).
