Job Role: Junior Test Engineer (Manual)

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain test cases against requirements acceptance criteria to ensure there are no gaps in test coverage.
- Clearly document defects discovered during testing in the bug tracking system and monitor them through completion to ensure quality can be passed on to end users.
- Must communicate well, monitor testing progress, and write accurate test reports in prescribed format to ensure compliance with organizational/project policies.
- Work closely with developers, project managers, and other teams to analyze requirements and resolve software issues.
- Create test plans for various types of regression testing, system integration, load and performance testing and UAT.
- Conduct smoke testing, functional testing, front-end testing, regression testing, and support customer acceptance testing.
- Design and develop automated tests to improve regression testing coverage of software releases and products.
- Failure analysis of UAT to evaluate events and draw conclusions on how to mitigate this issue in the future.
Qualifications and Skills
Qualification: BE/BTECH (CS/CE/IT), ME/Mtech (CS/CE/IT), MCA/MSc IT
Skills:
- Knowledge of testing phases and approaches including functional, regression, integration and end-to-end testing.
- Should have strong problem-solving skills enabling him to test software, identify bugs and troubleshoot errors.
- People who work with other groups must have strong communication skills that allow them to work collaboratively with others.
- Communicates issues and coordinates with QA, development and sales groups to ensure products are error free.
- Experience with automation tools such as Selenium and preferably experience in creating automation scripts is an added advantage.
