Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate as a part of cross-functional teams to aid in the engineering, planning, and implementation of subsea initiatives.
  2. Engage with various design and operational documents, including topsides integration schematics, subsea distribution drawings, subsea electrical, fiber, hydraulic, and chemical schematics, interlocks, programming cause and effect spreadsheets, and alarm rationalization manuals.
  3. Participate in and contribute to a variety of studies such as SIL Reports, RCM, IPF studies, HAZOP/HAZID studies, major accident hazard bowties, RAM Matrix, asset safety case, cause & effects, RBI, LOPA, FMEA, and Risk/Criticality Analysis, encompassing cost, safety, and environmental considerations.
  4. Aid in prioritizing and optimizing backlogs, bridging the gap between project design phases and commissioning, operations, and maintenance, with the aim of reducing incomplete coverage and minimizing availability or reliability risks.
  5. Create project cost estimates, schedules, execution plans, and explore alternatives for project delivery.
  6. Manage project support from engineering contractors and handle project interfaces between the client and third-party teams.
  7. Provide updates on the status of project delivery.
  8. Facilitate and participate in project risk management processes.
  9. Support the in-house development of tools and programs.

Qualifications and Skills

Qualifications:

    • B.E. or B.Tech. in Instruments or Chemical Engineering. Masters/Ph.D. in Offshore or Subsea Engineering is preferred. Chartered Engineer as defined by AMIE or EngTech/Incorporated Engineer could be advantageous.

Knowledge, skills, and experience:

    • Engineers with subsea/offshore/renewables internship experience are preferred.
    • Ability to comprehend detailed engineering drawings and data content is crucial.
    • Familiarity with BoMs within the subsea production system (SPS) scope is required:
      • Systems, Trees, Controls (Topside and Subsea), Manifolds, Connections, Subsea Distribution & Umbilicals, Wellheads.
    • Knowledge of Delta-V or SCADA systems is a plus.
    • Familiarity with OREDA-based RAM analysis is beneficial.
    • Knowledge of any DNV/ISO standards could provide an advantage.
